Just like physicians for humans, a veterinarian has a host of tools available to help keep your furry pals healthy when you bring them in for treatment. Besides taking vital signs and conducting a physical exam, we will often order blood work. No one likes to think about getting stuck with a needle, but checking your pet’s blood is an important tool to help us get to the root of your pal’s injuries or illness.
